Corsair 12's Training Files
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This collection contains 3 skirmish files for training purposes.  A quick explanation is in order for each of the skirmishes.
First, the mission called "Corsair 12's Wingman Practice, Mission 1.skm", this mission was produced by me to fly with other members of Corsair Squadron.  Like all the missions this is very simple.  It is used to improve wingman skills.  You and a friend should fly this in the aim of being a team and having fluid movements throught out the melee.  Communication is the key to this mission.  I suggest that if you can you use either a LAN to practise together first or have speech software running in the background.  After you know your wingman speech becomes obsolete as you will learn exactly how to help each other.
Next, "Corsair 12's Wingman Practice, Mission 2.skm", this is very similar to the above mission.  This however brings a greater challenge.  You and your friend must take on shielded craft while still flying TFs.  Some tactics that are used in the above mission cannot be used here.  It is unwise to charge at the ships while in the TF but I think that is self explanatory.
Last,and the final challenge. The mission named "Corsair 12's Tie Madness, Mission 3.skm" is made for a single player who gets a buzz from destroying TDs or TAs with a TI.  If you want you can change the craft you fly to an A-wing but it becomes harder in some respects as your are a bigger target.  For those of us who are Corsair pilots or wish to be I think flying in an A-wing is preferable.  Watch out thought as the oponents are made up of two pilot teams. Each team has one TA and one TD - except your team which has a lonely TI.
*****Please****
Note that these files are not designed to be fun. They are basically a small set of missions that will test and hopefully improve your reactions, coordination, and reflexes.  They are a challenge even if you have a decent wingman.  They are designed as learning aids for pilots.  The AI are still not as good as human pilots in XWA.  I have this opinion as it is relatively easy to gain a high kill to death ration while flying a TF against TDs. Nothing can prepair you more than flying against oponents that are better than you.
